OilCure must not be mistaken for soap. You will always need soap in your operations in order to move dirt from one place to another.
OilCure is safe for use in environmentally sensitive areas and in areas of food preparation.
It can be used on roads, bricks, concrete, tiles, painted surfaces, ship’s bilges steel structures and decks, above-ground and underground storage tanks, transformers, machinery and vehicles (including forklifts, vans and trucks).
OilCure is environmentally safer than fat remover (detergent).
Before OilCure the preferred soap for spilled hydrocarbons was a fat remover. Unfortunately fat removershave two distinct disadvantages:
- It can’t extract oil out of concrete (after two days the oil is ‘back’) and
- It mixes the oil and water and then moves the oil with the water to the next step in the water treatment system.
It is against the law to dump FOG on municipal landfill sites or flush it down municipal sewage systems. However, after use of fat remover the residue is treated with OilCure, the hydrocarbon becomes inert and safe to discharge. NB, the fat remover has to be biodegradable.
